One-Day Leadership Conference Will Bring Nationally Recognized Speakers Together to Explore How Leaders Develop People and Multiply Their Impact
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK, UNITED STATES, August 18, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Some of the country’s most recognized voices in leadership and organizational development are coming to Oklahoma City this fall for RECON26: The Multiplication Effect, a one-day leadership conference focused on developing people, strengthening organizations and expanding the impact of leadership.
Taking place October 8, 2026, at the University of Central Oklahoma’s Grand Ballroom in Edmond, RECON26 will bring together business leaders, executives, entrepreneurs and professionals from across Oklahoma for a day of ideas, practical leadership development and connection.
The conference features a nationally recognized lineup of speakers, including Juliet Funt, founder and CEO of WhiteSpace at Work; Sherri Coale, legendary University of Oklahoma women’s basketball coach and leadership speaker; Simon T. Bailey, internationally recognized leadership expert and author; Thomas Hill III, CEO of Kimray; and Nathan Mellor, CEO of Strata Leadership.
The theme for this year’s event is “The Multiplication Effect: Developing People. Expanding Possibility.”
At the heart of RECON26 is a simple premise: leadership is multiplied through people.
The way leaders communicate, make decisions, develop talent and create culture does not stop with them. It influences teams, organizations, families and communities. RECON26 is designed to challenge attendees to consider not only the results they are producing, but also the leaders they are developing along the way.
“This year’s RECON is about recognizing the ripple effect of leadership,” said Thomas Hill III. “Every leader is multiplying something through the people around them. The question is whether we’re being intentional about what we’re multiplying.”
Throughout the day, speakers will address different dimensions of that leadership journey:
Create the Capacity — Juliet Funt will explore how leaders can create the space necessary for people and organizations to perform at their best.
Coach the Potential — Sherri Coale will share lessons from a legendary coaching career on recognizing potential and bringing out the best in others.
Develop the Person — Simon T. Bailey will focus on developing people beyond their roles and helping individuals recognize and reach their potential.
Own Your Leadership — Thomas Hill III will challenge leaders to take ownership of the influence they have on the people and culture around them.
Multiply the Influence — Nathan Mellor will examine how leaders can develop influence that extends beyond themselves.
The conference is intended for leaders at every level—from executives and business owners to emerging leaders and professionals who want to become more intentional about the way they influence others.
“RECON was created around the belief that healthy organizations begin with healthy leadership,” said Hill. “When we invest in people, we don’t just change an individual. We change what becomes possible for everyone they influence.”
For Oklahoma business and community leaders, the event offers an opportunity to experience nationally recognized leadership programming without having to leave the state.
RECON26 will take place Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the University of Central Oklahoma Grand Ballroom, 100 N. University Drive, Edmond, Oklahoma.
Early-bird registration is currently available, with ticket pricing increasing September 10, 2026.
